Hidden Rome

julietyera

I've been to the blockbuster sites in Rome - the "must see" options on a tourist punch card: St. Peter's, The Colloseum, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps. What intrigues me about Rome, about all cities, are the hidden spots - the backstreets, small cafes, hidden gems in smaller churches off the beaten path. When I moved to New York I would hop on the subway and get off at a new spot where I had never been and get out to wander. I love to wander, and to wander in Rome means to stumble across thousands of years of history, art and architecture all among a modern and active city. Here are a few places that might be worth a little time to wander: https://www.homestay.com/blog/2017/01/21/hidden-rome-10-attractions-you-might-not-have-heard-of
