One of the things that I am honestly looking forward to the most (other than spending time with some of my favorite people) is indulging in Italian wine in Tuscan wine country. The other two times I have been to Italy I have not had a drop of wine. The first was a tour with my Christian College class - drinking was a BIG no no, I could have been expelled. Then the second time I was pregnant - so again not a good idea. So this time I am going to enjoy myself and indulge in some of the best wine in the world.
I have more to explore about the famous debate between Brunello de Montalcino and Vino Nobile de Montepulciano - but we can make the decision ourselves which one we like best when we visit each town...or just revel in beautiful landscapes and delicious wine (no matter the town of origin). But there is also Chianti and these blends called Super Tuscan.
Here is an article about the top 10 Tuscan wineries to visit. I can't see how this could possibly go wrong. We are brilliant.
